The before-and-after photo slider is a free tool for trades and home-service businesses that want to show the difference their work makes. Upload a photo taken before the job and one taken after, choose a horizontal or vertical divider, and drag the handle to compare the two. When it looks right, download the comparison as a single PNG image or copy a self-contained HTML embed that puts the interactive slider on your own website.

It suits painters, landscapers, remodelers, roofers, cleaners, detailers and anyone else whose results are easier to see than to describe. Both photos stay on your device: the slider, the PNG export and the embed code are all built in your browser, and nothing is uploaded to our servers. TradesBackbone customers can attach job photos to a job record and share them with the customer from the app as well.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The two images are read by your browser and never leave your device. The downloadable PNG and the embed code are generated locally, so there is nothing on our side to delete afterwards.
What do I get when I download or embed?
Download gives you one PNG that shows the before and after side by side at the divider position you set, with Before and After labels. Embed copies an HTML snippet with the images and the slider built in, so you can paste it into a page on your website and visitors can drag the handle themselves.
Do the two photos need to be the same size?
It works best when they were shot from the same spot and have the same proportions, so the handle reveals the same view. If the proportions differ, both photos are shown at the same width, so the edges will not line up under the handle. Cropping them to match before uploading gives the cleanest result.
